This year's election between incumbent Donald Trump and democrat Joe Biden has been a doozy to say the least! Here in "Trumptana", we saw many displays of support for Trump, and I think I've only seen 2 Biden signs here. So we are totally in the red in our area. Some were just crazy, I've never experienced a more fired up election than this. I'm not a huge supporter of Trump but he's better than the alternive and he has stuck to his guns and done some of the things he said he'd do, he is doing some good things (just wish he'd stop all of his Twitter comments), and I am glad he recently appointed Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court (one of the main reasons I voted Trump last time around to keep that Supreme Court conservative). I wasn't too thrilled to vote but always make it a priority to study out the issues and candidates and pray about it. I took Sydnie with me to the polls and the people there were so sweet to her. Always a privilege to be able to vote! It's actually been just 100 years since women were given the privilege to vote and I am grateful to so many who sacrificed and worked tirelessly to make that happen. If they didn't step forward, who knows how much longer it would've taken? Anyways, most of the people I voted for made it, our state legalized recreational marijuana (NO!), and we woke up the day after Election Day still not knowing who the next president would be. Seriously? I never remember that happening. Fishy things going on. At least I don't miss the several texts and calls and stack of mailers we got. I saved the last couple of weeks and it was crazy how many we got! Somedays we'd have 5 -10! After several weeks, we found out that Joe Biden won the election, though many disagreed and argued there was too much fraud. Politics... Things are crazy in our world right now but I'm content because I know who is really in control. Things may downward spiral, but the Savior is well aware of outcomes and will be the one we need to worry about. The only One.
