10 Days of Being a Mom Challenge
Stacy recently invited me to do a social media photo challenge called "10 Days of Being a Mother". "Every day select an image from a day in the life of being a mother and post it without a single explanation and nominate somebody to take the challenge. That’s 10 days, 10 photos, 10 nominations." So I did it. I somehow missed a day and only did nine. So often I fall short being a mom, but I am thankful for the role I play as mother. And though days are difficult at times, and I have a long way to go, I am so grateful and love being a mother!
If I Ran the Zoo
Yesterday Lucy said: "Mom, sometimes I feel you're the director of the circus and all of your animals are going wild!" 😂 Also, I was reading one of our Ensign magazines and Lucy was flipping through it and found an article called "Ten Tips for Parenting the Strong-Willed Child" and she handed it over and said: "Here mom, this article is just for you!" They are pretty wild some days. Couldn't get Em out of bed until 11:30, Cal was in just a silly mood and then defiant, Lucy and Cov got out all the Halloween decorations and were making copies of everything in sight with our printer, Cov cut the top of our couch with my seam ripper (sewing eraser, he called it) and would not do his school work, and Sydnie kept coloring on her lips and the floor with marker and cutting things with scissors. Wish I had five sets of eyes and arms. Sometimes I feel like the worst parent because I loose my patience easily or I say or do things I have to quickly apologize and repent for. But as crazy as they are sometimes, there's no group I love more! Here's to a better day at the Ryerse circus! Hope this circus director learns some new tricks that help!
