Happy 2016!

As I was thinking about my new years resolutions, I feel like I sometimes do too much, try too hard to keep up, to be perfect, and sometimes lose sight of the most important things.  So my goal for this year was to SIMPLIFY - do less of that which matters little to make more time for that which is eternal.  Marjorie Pay Hinckley: "We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives. We have to decide what is important and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us. We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something. We have to learn to be content with what we are."

We had a fun day and night on New Years Eve.  Lots of game playing, football watching, sledding with the cousins, Ryerse tacos, celebrating Tayla's 10th birthday, taking silly selfies and fireworks at midnight!

New Years Day, we went to my parents home for a snow festival.  We did a snow maze, snowball target, painting on the snow, making treats for the birds, painting snow ball faces, and had hot chocolate and soup for dinner.  It was so fun!  My mom is so creative and it was so fun for the grand kids!

It was a great start to our new year, and we hope for a happy new year to one and all!
