Fall break was pretty low key but fun. Mark, Mayela and Amber's fall break was the weekend before ours so they came up to visit. We had our official fall break on Monday, but Lucy left to Teton Science School so we had our break the weekend before. We picked up the kids from school, played in the backyard, had a fire in our fire pit and made tin foil dinners and s'mores, went on a hike behind our house, went to look at the stars Friday night, and watched the old Hocus Pocus. Saturday, we woke up and made a big Halloween brunch with pumpkin pancakes, fritattas, hash browns, fruit, and more. Then we headed to Garden City to meet up with Amy and her boys (Kolby was out hunting) and Aunt Christie and Uncle Rex for the Addams Family musical play there. It was so hilarious, Pickeville really knows how to put on a good show! After that, we went to the Heritage park the kids played, walked around Garden City pond and did lots of talking. Then it was off to dinner at the Bear Trapper restaurant. The food was okay, but we had a good time being together and talking and laughing. When we got home, we had a cookie decorating contest. We had some leftover cookies we made from Callahan's football party they had so we used the rest and pulled out all the sprinkles and had Uncle Marko be the judge. Then we got ready for bed and went to sleep. Sunday morning, we got ready to go to Church. Mom had to speak and got a new calling in YW, we went to classes, came home, and Dave and I went to our stake meeting and Dave got a new calling as High Councilman. We played games, sat around and talked, some napped, played in the backyard together, did our Come, Follow Me lesson and played scripture charades, joked around, and made Halal Guys chicken and rice bowls with naan for dinner. I am thankful we all get along well and have fun together and for the good examples my kids have in their relatives.
