Let the Summer Adventures Begin!

Summer is in full swing here!

It's been a little more time at home with Dave and all his EMT coursework and clinical hours right now,  but that's okay. 

We were able to do a little bit of camping. We got to go up north a bit to somewhere "tree-ey" (that's a term coined by the kids, they said anywhere with trees, haha!) to Ham's Fork River in the Bridger National Forrest. We took our toy hauler out for the first time and it was so nice! We really enjoyed it! We explored, made fairy houses, talked to squirrels, weaved baskets, made dinner and homemeade ice cream, sat around the fire, went on the four wheeler, hiked, observed nature, skipped rocks, and more. It was so nice to get out and nice to get really comfy as we slept...I never really mind tent camping but slept so well! We had a wonderful time. God's world is so good!

We got to go to the air show at Hill Air Force Base. It was incredible! We didn't go on base because it was so crowded, but found a place just south, a big field and set up there to enjoy the show. While we were there, a couple and their older daughter invited us to join them under the shade of a tree. They were the Karcthner family and she does lots of photography work. It was great to talk to them, they were super sweet. We followed the updates online to hear some back ground and history and were in awe of the planes and what they could do. This family took some pictures of us too, so that was fun.  

Lots of playdates and hang out sessions going on. I love this neighborhood; kids are all over riding bikes, playing catch and exploring outdoors. Emma got to go tubing with the Dearden girls and some girls from work. Cal has gotten together a bit with some buddies. Lucy likes having some friends right here in the 'hood, and others that come in or she goes there. Cov has had sometimes two playdates in one day. And Sydnie loves anytime she can get together with any friend. And they also love hanging out with each other, too. They crack me up when they dress up and do funny things. This time, it was the church of beans. So hilarious!

Sydnie figured out how to ride a bike with no training wheels, whee!

The kids have been staying busy with projects at home, practicing, playing outside and more.

We have been working on our mess of a yard. Dave had to take the sprinklers apart and re do them. We got our trampoline put in, leveled up some of our ground, put in gravel, built a swing. We took out the wood chips around and in front of our house and put in decorative landscape rock and planted some pretty bushes and flowers. Our planter boxes are looking good. Let's hope they grow!

We've been getting the things on our bucket list accomplished. Craft making to outings, we never got as many done as we wished, but we did quite a few. We will finish the rest next year. :)
