We had a day off school in mid-October for fall break so we decided to make the most of it and head to Minot, ND. Our first stop was Oak Park to play. It was such a warm, beautiful day with temps reaching about 80 degrees, yessss!! It was a unique park and we had a good time! Then we ate dinner at Mi Mexico, which was very surprisingly good. And then it was off to the dollar store and Home Depot to pick up a few things. We ended the night in our hotel, baby Sydnie's first hotel stay! We went swimming for hours, the kids loved the slides. They were tuckered out after that, so we all showered and then hit the sack!
Saturday, we woke up and ate breakfast at the hotel, then headed out. We went to the Scandinavian Heritage Park. Though the buildings were closed for the season, we enjoyed looking at the beautiful and unique buildings, statues, windmills, water features and more. It was fun to see the architecture where many of our ancestors came from. Emma's first question when we tell her we're visiting somewhere new is "do they have a mall?" Why, yes, they do, so we visited the Dakota Square Mall, got some Sonic slushies, and headed to the Berry Acres pumpkin farm. It was a blast! They had a corn pit, obstacle courses, tractor racing, hay play area, a pumpkin catapult and launcher, corn maze, and we ended the day picking our own pumpkins. It was so much fun! Unfortunately, some of my pictures accidentally were deleted, sad! But we made some good memories with my little (and big) pumpkins in Minot!
