Dads - Definitely Amazing Dudes

If there were an acronym for Dad, I think it would be definitely amazing dude. Yep! We are thankful for this Dave Daddy and all the amazing things he does for us! We were happy to see both grandpas Father's Day weekend as well. And I always can't help but think about our Heavenly Father who is there for us all, 24/7. He teaches, listens, guides, helps, sustains, challenges and most of all loves us with an amazing love! 

We got to celebrate by making breakfast for a Dan and Dave.  We made some yummy breakfast casserole and oven baked pancakes for them.  We also made some notes and placed them all over for Grandpa and the kids made cards for Dave on Saturday.  They loved them! Then we got ready for church.  Church was great, we sat out in the hall because we forgot Dave's church clothes (oops!). 

And then we drove home to MT.  We were glad to see both grandpas that weekend!  They sure are amazing grandpas!  The kids love to play with them and tease them, too.  

When we got home, we opened up some shirts Dave got for everyone.  He likes a good graphic tee here and there and he decided to get one for everyone.  His had an omelette on it and said "Omelette it slide", mine said "Made in the 80's", Emma got a cat in bow tie and glasses, Cal got a "Callahan auto parts" one, Lucy got one that said "Chickens. The pets that poop breakfast", Coverton got one that said "Rebel Scum" and Sydnie got one that said "867-5309", though it might become mine because it is way too huge.  So thoughtful!  That's how Dave is. Always thinking of others and not himself.  We ate dinner and talked about what Daddy has taught us this year.  Some said how to work hard.  Some said how to play this or that.  Some said how to be nice.  He sure has taught us a lot and will continue to do so.  He's such an amazing example and partner in crime in parenting.  Then we looked at the cards we all made and he loved those.  A couple weeks later when we finally made it to the store (the thing we were going to get him was out of stock), we got him a Nerf combo water/dart gun, and he liked that and a racketball set and a paddle ball set.  It's not much for all he does.

Utah Love

After our family reunion, we decided to go to Utah to visit the Ryerses, since we were so close anyways. We love them!

We loved looking at old photos together, watching movies, chasing each other, park hopping, playing games, going on a walk, getting Sonic slushies, and more.

We went to hang out with Grandma Di and Grandpa Scott one night too for dinner.  And we went Geocaching with Grandma Di and to play at the park one day.  We found one, but couldn't find the other 3 we were looking for!

We were able to go paddle boarding one night with Randy & Erin at Pineview, and that was a blast!  The kids loved it!  And Dave only fell off the paddle board one time.

We got to meet Julie and Todd's new little Atticus, what a good little baby boy with a great name!  We are looking forward to meeting Jerry & Stacy's baby soon after they have her in June.  He was a good little dude and we all agreed he was adorable!  It's been fun seeing Sydnie and MacKenzie play and watching them grow up together and make trouble together, haha!

Got to make a temple trip to the Bountiful temple.  Happy place!  The lady doing the initiatories with me was so amazing, I could just feel her goodness.  Before she left, she gave me a hug and told me I had the sweetest spirit and countenance.  I told her I could tell she was amazing and one of those people I wanted to be like someday.  Erin and Randy came, too, so that was fun.

We met up with Ryan and Kaylin Spencer and their 4 kids.  I forgot to take pictures, but we had fun and Kaylin and I had fun catching up and Dave and Ryan talked Health Administration, as Ryan just got his masters in that and looking for their next opportunity.

We got to help celebrate Father's Day a little and then we were off, back home again!  Short visit, but never short on love!
