Oh man. These guys all get me every time. I love them with all my heart. Though some days and moments are hard...it's all worth it! How lucky am I that I get to spend my days with these children God has given me!
Lucy and Covey love bubble baths! Great way to start the day. We send the older two off to school and then they love to soak and play until the water is cold.

One day we were running a little late while taking kids to and from places. I hurried and put Cov in his carseat, not noticing anything was unusual. But when we got there, I turned around to see this. Haha! He's fascinated with pacifiers and wants to get one for himself when he sees other babies with them. So I guess since I always tell him "no", he decided he'd find his own binky and got an outlet cover off the wall and stuck it in his mouth. Puts a new meaning to "the plug".
We've been playing outside as much as we can before winter. This morning we went to the park, and then in the afternoon, it was snowing and we were building snowmen soon. Welcome to WY!
Glitter girl! One day, Lucy got into the gold glitter we have that Emma was using for a project. And she got it all over - including Cov's eyes. Sad little guy! It took several flushings of his eyes and baths to get it out of his eyes, ears and hair. There's glitter from her escapade on the cement here all over, but you can't see it very well. She also likes cutting dolls hair (which she gets taken away from her after doing so) and drawing on the wall (which she has to clean off).
Poor Cov! This is what you get when you have big sisters. I was helping Cal practice and heard the kids all playing and giggling. Then they told me to come see what they had done, with huge smiles and laughs. They were proud of their work. They also taught Cov to say "I so pretty!"
Lately, Lucy loves playing doggies, kitties or babies. She and Cov love to pretend. This day, they were being dogs and Luce was Pepper, a friend's dog. When she's a baby she's a hoot and stays in character really well for several hours, until we decide to play something else. Her favorite baby to be is Baby Tassel. Where does she come up with these names?
We have fun at home, but miss Cal and Emma so much when they go to school. It was recently Spirit week! Who doesn't love dressing up for Spirit week? Their favorite day this year was Disney dress up day. Emma was Mary Poppins, Cal was Baymax, and Lucy had to get in on the action as well and wanted to dress up like Minnie Mouse.
The kids had picture day a while ago. Here are their pictures. Cal, oh no! He's always smiling, except he said the flash was too bright so it was hard to smile, lol! We were thinking of doing retakes, but it's kind of funny!
Cal, our family comedian. He's so full of energy and just a ham! But at the end of the day, he's a very sweet boy. He doesn't like wearing shirts, so usually when he's at home and it's around bed time or in the morning, he is only half dressed. He loves reading. Hates getting his picture taken. Loves playing with friends. Could ride his bike all day. He finally switched over to a big boy bike. I'm sure he could've learned a lot sooner, but was so attached to his big wheel. One day, he wore his Evil Caneval costume while riding, all of the neighbors thought that was a hoot!
Emma recently started taking art lessons. She is loving it! Each week they focus on an artist or two and an art style to practice. This week, they learned about Spanish painters and their teacher did Day of the Dead face paint on them.
Em loves drawing and writing lately. She writes cute stories and I love them. She also likes doing make up with her friends. Here's her and her BFF Beckie.
We just had Parent Teacher conferences, and Emma's teacher said she wished she could have a class full of Emma's because she's so sweet and smart. Cal's teacher had equally good things to say.
I'm glad they're turning out alright, and while we all have a long ways to go, we're so blessed they are ours. <3 Here they are in their Day of the Dead masks we made one day. And the tent they made and slept in on the weekend. I love that they love each other and I love each and all so much!
